Schedule 40 black steel pipe nipples are produced by the iron oxide manufacturing process which applies heat and pressure to pipe. They are then cut to size and NPT male threaded on both ends by a fabrication shop, making it easy to use with black malleable iron pipe fittings and great for easy installation.
